Beautiful Girl - Let's Get Sketchy 5th Week

Hello everyone! Today over at Let's Get Sketchy there is a 5 week challenge instead of a sketch and the challenge is to make a monochromatic page. I went with greys and blacks for my page to go with the picture of my daughter. I really love how this page turned out!

From Canvas Home Brand I used some French Script on Ivory Tissuestock on the background and behind the picture. I mixed a little of Tattered Angels Black High Impact Pigment in with some white Gesso to create a light grey and to also adhere the tissue to my background.

I took a white Prima flower and sprayed it with some Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist Silver Sugar. Love the silvery shine this mist has.

You can see more of the light grey Gesso I made by mixing in some of the Tattered Angels Black High Impact Pigment into it. I just used an old gift card to apply along the edges of the torn papers. Once it dried I lifted up a few of the torn edges of the papers to give it more dimensions.

I got these butterflies by using a stencil and some modeling paste mixed with a lot of the Tattered Angels Black High Impact Pigment. I could of just used the High Impact Pigment but I wanted it to be a little thicker so I mixed it with the modeling paste. Also on the background you can see one of my favorite stamps by 7gypsies. To give my page an all over shine I sprayed some Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist Abominable Snowman, this mist is awesome to add a little glimmer to any project.
