What? I'm comfy - Let's Get Sketchy 5th week challenge

Since there are 5 Mondays this month, Let's Get Sketchy is having a 5th week challenge instead of a sketch. We used an ad as our inspiration. I loved the green in the ad and decided to use it on my page and it went perfectly with this picture of one of our cats sleeping in the seat of my daughters Green Machine. Plus I've had these papers from Basic Grey Origins for a long time, so it was nice to finally be able to use some of them.

Love these circle stickers from the Glitz Hoopla collection.

The ad my layout is inspired from.

It's All About Style - Let's Get Sketchy

It's Let's Get Sketchy time! I've been having the hardest time using these Studio Calico LemonLush papers but this weeks sketch from Let's Get Sketchy finally made it come together for me. I used lots of mists and had fun layering it up and I even did some sewing. I painted the corrugated arrows and the chipboard letters to match the color of the cute wood frame under the flower. Here is my take on the sketch with some close ups. If you haven't done one of the LGS sketches yet make sure you check them out and you might be the lucky winner of this months prize from Boys Rule!

Slide Slide Slippery Slide - My Scraps & More Sketch #84

Today is the last of 2nd grade for my daughter and I think I am more excited then she is. No more homework, yay! The downfall is that I am now going to have hear "I'm bored, no one can play" a lot now...lol
Other exciting news for today is that there is a new sketch reveal at My Scraps & More, sketch #84. I was in a doodle mood when I made this page. I have also had that pink velum it seems like forever, glad to finally use it for the circles. I didn't want to cover up too much of the stencil design I did on the background and the velum was a perfect solution.
