Wintery Scene Scrapbook Layout

Happy New Year! I grew up where we got lots of snow and have always loved snow. These days though, now that I live in Texas the closest I get to snow is in my craft projects.

Some of the products I have used have been provided to me from various companies I design for. The opinions I share are solely my own, and I only design for companies that I completely love their products.

This month's challenge photo over at Creative Embellishments inspired me to create a scrapbook layout using a photo of where I grew up, Lake Tahoe, NV.

On the background, I used 49 and Market Winters Edge Collection Snow Covered Trees paper and used the Creative Embellishments Fairy Dust Stencil with some TCW White Pearl Modeling Paste and then sprinkled some Prisma Glitter over it to give it a little more texture and shimmer. On the Creative Embellishments Tall Tree, I painted it with TCW White Gesso mixed with a little black paint to create a light gray. Then painted it with some TCW Gel Medium and added some chunky snow glitter and some DecoArt Snow-Tex.

I did the same on the Creative Embellishments Berry Branches but did not add any of the chunky glitter to the branches. On the Creative Embellishments Chipboard Snowflakes, I painted them with the white gesso and then TCW Gel Medium and sprinkled some Prisma Glitter on them.

I repeated the same thing on the Heavenly title that is from the Creative Embellishments Paradise Word Set and then rubbed some Nuvo Crystal Drops in Copper Penny over it with my finger. I also added some of the Nuvo Crystal Drops in Copper Penny to the berries on the branches and some drops onto the tree.

Interested in the products I used? Products that are still available are linked to multiple shops below, for your convenience.

I design for several companies because I genuinely love their products! Anything I recommend on my blog is something that I genuinely love and regularly use. I buy most of my own supplies. However, I do receive some free products to work with, and I sometimes make money for the projects I make. I DO NOT get paid for product reviews, I give my honest opinion about the products I use, and I will never recommend a product that I do not like or would not use.

  1. Hey Nadine, a happy new year to you and your family. We haven't had any snow yet, strange for this time of year. Love the page you made.
