Little Blue House “Clearly Creative” Blog Hop

Today I am sharing my "Clearly Creative" blog hop project for The Little Blue House. There is also a super yummy prize involved if you comment on all of the LBH design teams blogs.

For my Clearly Creative project, I made a shaker card.

1. You can make your card any size that you like, I used a 4 ¼ x 5 ½ card. You will also need another piece of cardstock the same size as the face of your card. For the Bella Blvd Clear Cut Sheet, cut it a ¼ inch wider than the face of your card. 

2. Cut a circle in the cardstock piece and then line it up on the front of your card and trace the circle onto the front of the card and then cut it out. 

3. Using a small cellophane bag (I recycled an embellishment bag) pour some beads or glitter into it and fold the end of it up and glue down. Adhere it to the outside of your card.

4. Adhere the cardstock piece onto the front of your card and over the shaker bag.

5. Embossing the Bella Blvd Clear Cut Sheet is a fun way to add texture to them. Fold the extra ¼ inch behind your card and adhere it to the back of your card and embellish it with the cute stickers from the Echo Park Anything Goes collection.

Enjoy Life - The Little Blue House

Hello everyone, today I am up on The Little Blue House blog with this step by step tutorial on how I made my layout using Echo Park Anything Goes Collection. All month the LBH team is sharing different tutorials and projects. Make sure to stop by and see all the amazing projects they have created.

I love the colors in this collection and all the cute coordinating stickers to go with it. 

Supplies Needed:

1. Echo Park Anything Goes papers and stickers

2. Jillibean Kraft Polaroids

3. Maya Road Camera Chipboard

4. We R Memory Keepers Sequins

5. Glossy Accents

6. Gesso

7. Water paints

8. Black paint

9. Black fine tip pen

10. Ruler

11. Paintbrush

12. Bubble wrap

13. White Cardstock

14. Standard Scrappy Supplies... adhesives, trimmers, scissors

________________________________________________________________________

1. Paint and flick some water colors onto a white piece of cardstock with a paintbrush.

2. Paint some Gesso onto a 12 x 12 piece of plastic. I used the packaging from a scrapbook kit. Press a sheet of bubble wrap into the Gesso and stamp it onto the cardstock paper over the water paints.

It will look something like this.

3. Paint the edge of a large bowl or anything round with a thin edge with black paint and stamp it onto the cardstock paper.

4. Layer your picture over some various pieces of patterned papers from the Echo Park Anything Goes collection, make sure they are cut bigger than your picture. Layer those over a Jillibean Kraft Polaroid strip. Doodle some lines around the outer edge of your page with a ruler and black marker.

5. Paint a thin layer of Gesso over the Maya Road Camera Chipboard.

6. Add some color with some water colors.

7. Apply a layer of Glossy Accents. It will look whitish in color at 1st but once dry it will be clear.

8. Add some doodles around the cloud stickers and pop dot them up. Tuck some flower stickers under and around your picture and paper layers and add a few fun sequins and you are done.

Kids Can Do It - Canvas Corp

If your kids are anything like mine, they love to play with your color mists. This fun and easy headband lets them do exactly that.

Supplies Needed:

1. Canvas Home Basics Burlap Flower in Ivory 

2. Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist (I used Electric Blue) 

3. Tattered Angels Glimmer Glam (I used Chandelier) 

4. Headband (got mine at the dollar store)

5. Large rhinestone or button. 

6. Beacon Adhesives Fabri-Tac
7. Paintbrush 

________________________________________________________________________________

Step 1: Spray Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist onto burlap flower as much or as little as you like.

Step 2: Paint Tattered Angels Glimmer Glam in between burlap flower layers and on the edges till you have the desired amount of glitter effect you like.

Step 3: Adhere gem or button in the center of burlap flower.

Step 4: Adhere burlap flower to the headband.

Once dry they will have a pretty headband to wear and will most likely want to make several of them in many different colors.
