Core’dinations Design Team Call

Hey, did you know that Core'dinations Cardstock is doing a design team call? I've been using Core'dinations Cardstock for about 6 years now and love it. Most of you know how I love to get messy with some distressing and multi media. Well the Core'dinations Cardstock is perfect for that. You can sand it, tear it, emboss it to create so many different looks.
Have you ever used Core'dinations before? If so, what are your favorite ways to use it? I use it mostly for making cards and layouts, as those are what I like to do the most. It also works great for altered items as well.

Here is a layout and some cards I made recently using mainly Core'dinations on them. I really like how they turned out. Also a small tutorial on how I made the flowers from Core'dinations Cardstock.

A Bright and Cheery Birthday Card

On this card I used the Core Essentials Collections and the Whitewash Collection. On the Whitewash I embossed it and then sanded over the top of it to create the 2 toned look.

 Just A Note

On this one I used both sides of the Black Magic Collection. I crinkled and then sanded over the folded areas of the cardstock. Also did some stamping and some wet embossing.

  Giggles, Laughs

I used the Core Essentials and the Chocolate Box Collection. Sanded, tore, crinkled and used some Modeling Paste too. The embellishments and patterned papers are all misc. items from my stash except for the flowers that I made using the Core Essentials.

Wanna know how I made those cute flowers? Here are some step by step instructions on how to make them.

My layout was based from the My Creative Sketches

Thank you for stopping by, I hope you have a great day!

  9. Your cards are terrific. I especially liked the Sunshine yellow one, and I agree that coordinations is a wonderful paper to use for this kind of cards. It's lovely to sand & distress, and really brings out embossing. I don't scrap so only use the paper for cards. It creates some super texture as you've shown with the Black magic. TFS - oh yes, thanks for the flower tutorial. Those are pretty.
