Just Beachy Mixed Media Scrapbook Layout

Today I have a Just Beachy scrapbook layout I created. Beachy layouts are my favorite type of layouts to do. I am not sure if it is because I have so many beach photos or if it is because I want to be on the beach right now. I have also been collecting several beachy type craft supplies for quite a while now so I guess I should start using them up so I can get more. :)

Creative Embellishments has provided me with some of the product to create this project. The opinions I share are solely my own.

Below is a process video showing how I created my layout.

My embellishing ended up being more than I originally planned, so a lot of the stamping I did with the Distressed Circle Stamp ended up getting covered up, but you can still see a little of it.  I used white Gesso to stamp with.  For the Crab, I first painted it with some white Gesso and then painted on some color spray to give it an orange crab look. The paper and some of the embellishments I used is the 49 and Market Sand and Sea collection, but it has unfortunately been discontinued.

I also painted the Coral, Seaweed 2 and the Just Beachy title with white Gesso. Then painted the Coral with some coral paint color, the Seaweed with some dark green and whitewashed it with some white gesso afterward.  For the title, I kinda came up with the color for that by accident. After I painted it with the gesso, I then painted it the same as how I did the seaweed but didn't really it that color so I then lightly painted it with the coral paint but didn't really like that look either so I then whitewashed it with some gesso and finally liked it. For the Fishnet Panel, I just barely brushed on some gesso over them so, for the most part, I left them natural.

Interested in the products I used? Products are linked to multiple shops below, for your convenience.

I design for several companies because I truly love their products! Anything I recommend on my blog is something that I genuinely love and regularly use. I buy most of my own supplies. However, I do receive some free product to work with and I sometimes make money for the projects I make. I DO NOT get paid for product reviews, I give my honest opinion about the products I use and I will never recommend a product that I do not like or would not use.
