A Masculine Pirate Birthday Card

Did you know that Sept. 19th is Talk Like A Pirate Day? To celebrate I thought I would make a masculine pirate birthday card.

Some of the products I have used in this post have been provided to me by various companies. The opinions I share are solely my own. Affiliate links may be used where possible at no cost to you. However, I do earn a small commission when you click on my links and make a purchase from them. Thank you, and I appreciate your support!

I first took a piece of kraft cardstock and burned all the edges of it. You have to be careful when doing this to not burn more than you want, so I would just do one edge at a time. Blow it out and then burn a little bit more until all edges were burnt.
I then crinkled up the cardstock piece into a ball and then flattened it back out again and then sprayed it with some Walnut Spray and then adhered it to the front of my card base using my Xyron Mega Runner.

For the stamps, I used Crackerbox & Suzy Stamps J. Sparrow, Pirate's Rum Bottle, and Treasure Map and stamped them all with Memento Ink Tuxedo Black and colored them in with Copic Markers.
The map and rum bottle I used my Xyron Mega Runner and adhered them down. For the pirate, I used some foam squares behind him.

For the sentiment, I used Crackerbox & Suzy Stamps Make A Rum Cake Stamp. I stamped it on white cardstock and I free hand cut it out to give it a jagged edge. Then I inked up the edges and blended some of the ink to the front to distress it up some and give it a dirty look. Then I used foam squares to pop it up.

Crackerbox & Suzy Stamps also wants to help everyone celebrate Talk Like A Pirate by offering
25% OFF all of their Pirate Stamps from Sept. Friday 18th to 20th.
The J. Sparrow, Treasure Map, and Make A Rum Cake stamps that I used on my card are all new releases plus there are even more newly released pirates stamps. All great for the big and little pirate's in your life! The discount will automatically be applied once the stamps have been added to your cart and at checkout.

Interested in the products I used? Products that are still available are linked to multiple shops below, for your convenience.
Lists may contain affiliate links where possible at no cost to you, what so ever. Affiliate and product disclosure can be found here.
I design for several companies because I genuinely love their products! Anything I recommend on my blog is something that I genuinely love and regularly use. I buy most of my own supplies. However, I do receive some free products to work with, and I sometimes make money for the projects I make. I DO NOT get paid for product reviews, I give my honest opinion about the products I use, and I will never recommend a product that I do not like or would not use.
