Halloween Witch Hat Home Decor

Hey, y'all! Today I am sharing how I created this fun Halloween Witch Hat home decor piece.

Some of the products I have used in this post have been provided to me by various companies. The opinions I share are solely my own. Affiliate links may be used where possible at no cost to you. However, I do earn a small commission when you click on my links and make a purchase from them. Thank you, and I appreciate your support!

I first started with the Creative Embellishments Large Witch Hat and painted it with The Crafter's Workshop Matte Black Gesso. Then I took some cheesecloth and sprayed it black using some Distress Black Soot Spray Stain and adhered it to the hat with some Matte Mod Podge making sure to leave some wrinkles in the cloth. For the buckle around the hat, I painted it black and then painted some Super Thick Gel over the top to give it a glossy look. Then I traced the buckle onto a piece of purple glitter cardstock and cut it out and adhered it to the back of the buckle. Then adhered it to the front of the hat using the Xyron Mini Multi Stick Glue Gun.

Then I added some flowers and one of the cats from the Creative Embellishments Cat Set 2 using the Xyron Mini Multi Stick Glue Gun. I also painted the cat black and then mixed some black glitter in with the Super Thick Gel and added that to give some shine and texture to the cat. To accent the hat and embellishments I rubbed on some The Crafter's Workshop Stencil Butter in Orchid and in Champagne Gold with my finger.

Interested in the products I used? Products that are still available are linked to multiple shops below, for your convenience.
Lists may contain affiliate links where possible at no cost to you, what so ever. Affiliate and product disclosure can be found here.
I design for several companies because I genuinely love their products! Anything I recommend on my blog is something that I genuinely love and regularly use. I buy most of my own supplies. However, I do receive some free products to work with, and I sometimes make money for the projects I make. I DO NOT get paid for product reviews, I give my honest opinion about the products I use, and I will never recommend a product that I do not like or would not use.
