Believe - Let's Get Sketchy
Posted on November 10, 2014 by Nadine Carlier with 3 comments
It's another sketchy Monday at Let's Get Sketchy, with a new sketch reveal today! I'm really happy that I finally got these pictures of my son scrapped. One year we got him his very own Christmas Tree to decorate. We colored Cheerios and strung them on a string and he was so proud of his little tree. I also got to use the new Simple Stories Cozy Christmas collection that I got from the My Scraps & More store. Love these papers, and embellies!

Snow Fun - Let's Capture Our Memories
Posted on October 14, 2014 by Nadine Carlier with 5 comments
I saw this fun sketch over at Let's Capture Our Memories and had to use it. I've had these pictures of my daughter crawling threw the snow tunnel that her daddy made for her going to our neighbors driveway that I knew would be perfect for this sketch.
I used some glitter on a chipboard snowflakes I had. Also added some Heidi Swapp Ghost Shapes and Bo Bunny Chunky Charms.
On the background I did some dots with modeling paste and a stencil and flicked some Metallic Ayeeda Paint by 13arts over that. Sprayed some Tattered Angels Chalkboard Glimmer Mist too.
Gotta love the glitter Thickers! Also in a few spots I used some glass filler by 13arts to create some snow. You can see it in this picture below the S of snow.
and here is my sketch inspiration.
Product List:
Patterned paper: Best Creations, Bo Bunny Snowy Serenade
Embellishments: Heidi Swapp, Bo Bunny, Hero Arts, Tattered Angels
Alpha: Thickers
Mixed Media: Modeling Paste, Tattered Angels, 13arts, Distress Ink, Stampendous Glitter

Be Yourself - Let's Get Sketchy 5th week
Posted on September 29, 2014 by Nadine Carlier with 5 comments
Hello scrappy friends! Since there is 5 Mondays this month in September, Let's Get Sketchy is having a 5th week challenge for the month. The challenge is to do a selfie page.... ugh! lol I don't normally do pages with me as the main subject so this really was a challenge for me. This is what I came up with....
I added some paint in with some Modeling paste and a stencil to get the blue dots on the background and also used the plain white modeling paste to get the white chevron texture on the background. Sprayed some mists to get the drips and layered a bunch of Fancy Pants Meology papers up.

In His Footsteps - Red Carpet Studio
Posted on August 24, 2014 by Nadine Carlier with 8 comments
There is a new challenge up today over at Red Carpet Studio. The movie for this challenge is Billy Madison. This movie follows a man who has grown up in the life of luxury without any responsibilities and in his quest to go back to school he earns his diploma without any help from rich relatives. The challenge is to create a project that uses "back to school" supplies such as paint, coloring, spray ink, stamps, etc.
Yay, may favorite kind of challenge, to get messy!! I used lots of mists and some Gesso and stamping on the background Core'dinations paper which I sanded to distress the page up even more. Added lots of layers under this picture of my son and daughter that I absolutely love. My daughter is following my son and wearing his cap last year after his graduation ceremony. I couldn't ask for a better son and big brother for her to follow after "in his footsteps".

When I saw the Pink Paislee Solstice collection, I just had to have it! The papers and embellies are perfect for all of our cruise photos that I am falling behind at getting scrapped.. lol I scrapped some pictures of my hubby relaxing and enjoying a beer in Belize.
Over at Frosted Designs their Friday Challenge was to use stamps, masks or paperclips. I stamped some images and use a mask with some mists to create my background. I also used the July sketch over at My Creative Sketches.

So Much Fun - A Cutt Above
Posted on August 01, 2014 by Nadine Carlier with 4 comments
Wow, it's August already! Today is also the first full challenge over at A Cutt Above. Have you checked out their cut files yet? They are fabulous! For todays reveal I used the Star Spangled die cut and the So Much Fun cut file. After cutting out the Star Spangled out on my Cameo I then adhered it to some red velum and then cut it out with scissors so all the star cut outs are red. I love how it turned out!
A close up of the red velum behind the stars and a cute Made in the USA chipboard piece from Scenic Route. Also love these gold chipboard hearts and clothespins from Studio Calico.

On the So Much Fun cut file I cut it out on plain white cardstock and then sprayed some Smooch Spritz Gold Glow on it and traced around the edges. I found these patriotic wood pieces by Jolee's by You lost in one of my scrappy drawers. Who knows how long they have been in there but they were perfect for my page.
